- I'd suggest you don't do anything, you're at the age where you're body needs extra fat and whatnot. You're becoming a woman, and those womanly curves are made of fat.
- 1. Get a positive attitude. Otherwise, you will accomplish very little. 2. Research dieting on the internet, and find what works for you, or talk to your school nurse. 3. You are a young, smart young lady. I am sure that you have some idea as to why you are gaining those pounds. 4. Use a smaller plate to eat from. You will take in less food that way. 5. Become a vegetarian. Have you ever seen a fat vegetarian? 6. Go on a fast for one week straight, and drink nothing but lemon juice in water, or v-8 juice. You will drop pounds so easy with this one. To curb hunger, drink lots of water, and tea. 7. Exercise more. Play sports with friends, take a class at the gym that focuses on dancing, or something similar. 8. Make a game for yourself. give yourself alternative options that don't contain as much fat. Like pretzels versus cheetos, and a banana versus some pudding. Sorbet is delicious, and icecream just makes your hips fat. 9. Go for a walk everyday. I hope this helps. Good luck.
- You are not going to be able to go back to your 11 year old body. You were a child then, you are on your way of not being one anymore. You will have to come to terms with that, because fighting it is only going to get you very frustrated. Often, some fat storage precedes a growth spurt too..... Having said that, there are things you can do to make sure you're not gaining unnecessary pounds. Yoga is wonderful for getting stronger, leaner and calmer. Following classes is the best way to go, because you'll learn to do it right, but if that is not possible, try DVDs or a website like http://www.yogatoday.com/, where you can watch (and follow) an online yoga class. Aim for doing yoga about 3 times a week for an hour or more. The other days, try walking or biking, inline skating or any exercise you enjoy to get your heart rate up for about 40 minutes. Try eating 5 small meals a day. You know you ate just the right amount if you get hungry again 3 to 4 hours later. Whatever you do, don't starve yourself! That leads to weight gain down the road. The only way your body is going to want to let go of fat (and not muscle and water, which is what you lose on a diet) is if you provide it with some food every 3 hours or so. Eat when you're hungry, stop eating when you are comfortable, not yet full. Cut down on the junk food. If it has calories, but hardly any nutrients, it is not feeding your body, it is feeding your fat cells. If you crave something 'bad' eat a little of it right away though, because if you hold off, you'll binge a week down the road. As long as you only eat it when you're hungry and stop when you're not anymore..... Eat a small dinner and don't eat before bed. Remember, the food strategies will keep you from adding weight. The only thing that will take existing fat off is exercise.
